As part of her schedule while in New Zealand to train Creators of Peace Circle facilitators, Shoshana Faire ran a public seminar on Wednesday 10 February in the Federation of Islamic Association of New Zealand (FIANZ) boardroom in Kilbirnie, Wellington, New Zealand.
Twenty women from diverse faiths and cultures attended the seminar, which was an introductory and exploratory session to acquaint the attendees with the Creators of Peace Circle program. The seminar provided an opportunity for the attendees to learn about the Creators of Peace program.
During the seminar participants were encouraged to reflect on what builds and what destroys peace and how they could consciously promote peaceful relations among their networks. Participants also got an opportunity to interact with each other and exchange their ideas on peace building and conflict resolution.
After the seminar the attendees were given a tour of the mosque by some of the Muslim women who had attended the seminar and who graciously invited all attendees on a guided tour of the mosque in the premises.
