Initiatives of Change partners with Abrahamic Council

The Imam and the Pastor and An African Answer, were screened at the Wellington Islamic Centre. The Abrahamic Council were hosts to the 40 who gathered to see the films. The initiator Sultan Eusoff, Co-Chair of the Council, welcomed everyone.

A discussion after the screenings was chaired by Professor Paul Morris, Head of Religious Studies at Victoria University. At the conclusion, he expressed his appreciation to IofC for the films and said he had found the evening inspiring. This was the first of a number of events IofC has been invited to partner with the Abrahamic Council to strengthen trust building with the multicultural communities in Wellington. It is hoped we can be a beacon of hope to other countries who are facing deeper challenges in trust building between ethnic and religious divides.
